Jason Beddow
Managing Director, Argo Investments and Argo Global Listed Infrastructure
Jason Beddow is the Managing Director of Argo Investments and Argo Global Listed Infrastructure. With over 25 years of experience in the investment industry, Jason began his professional life as a mining engineer before pursuing a career in financial markets. Following research roles at Hartley Poynton and Deutsche Bank, he joined Argo as an investment analyst in 2001.
Jason rose through the ranks, becoming Argo’s Chief Investment Officer and then Chief Executive Officer, before being appointed Managing Director in 2014. Over those 12-plus years, Argo has grown its assets from approximately $4.7 billion to more than $8 billion today, and shareholder numbers have increased from around 78,000 to more than 86,000.
In 2015, Jason was appointed Managing Director of Argo Global Listed Infrastructure – a listed investment company (LIC) launched by Argo to provide Australian investors with the opportunity for simple international diversification via the LIC structure.
Remarkably, Jason is only the third Managing Director of Argo Investments since it was founded in 1946.
