Our People – Nathan Hood

Nathan Hood

Membership Officer

Nathan has been an individual investor for more than 25 years and brings extensive practical experience in investing and business to his role at the Australian Shareholders’ Association.

Before joining ASA, Nathan owned and operated his own business and was an ASA member himself, giving him a strong understanding of the issues, questions and priorities that matter to individual investors.

In his role at ASA, Nathan works closely with members and investor groups across Australia and contributes to investor education and engagement initiatives. He is also a Convenor of ASA’s Double Bay Member Meeting Group and Sydney Young Investor Group, giving him regular opportunities to hear directly from investors and facilitate discussion on markets, companies and investing.

Nathan has a particular interest in the practical use of AI in investment research, including how investors can use emerging technology to analyse companies, test assumptions, and improve their decision making.

Nathan regularly presents to investor audiences and has appeared on investing podcasts including Shares for Beginners and Dollars and Making Sense. He also leads practical sessions on AI and investing for ASA members and investor groups.
