Operations and Events Coordinator

Damien Straker is the Operations and Events Coordinator at the Australian Shareholders’ Association (ASA), where he supports the organisation’s financial education, shareholder advocacy work, and membership base.

His role shifts between web building, customer service, and financial reconciliation. He also supports the ASA’s shareholder advocacy by publishing company meeting dates, voting intentions, and AGM reports online.

Damien works across several digital platforms, including WordPress, Membes, Stripe, and Xero, to maintain the ASA’s online portal and help support members, volunteers, and ASA’s board and CEO.

Before joining the ASA, Damien worked in the publications team of a financial advisory firm that focused on mining forecasts and commodity data. His experience in publishing has enhanced the quality of ASA’s company reports.

With a background in publishing and operations, Damien contributes to ASA’s mission of helping Australian shareholders improve their financial education.
