Head Investment Specialist, Perpetual Equities at Perpetual Asset Management Australia.

As Head Investment Specialist, Perpetual Equities James is responsible for championing the Perpetual Equities business and acting as a conduit between the Equities team and other stakeholders of Perpetual as well as commentary, analysis and technical investment support to institutions, financial advisers and investors of Perpetual Investments’ funds.

James has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years. Prior to joining Perpetual Investments in 2014, James was a Director and Investment Specialist with the Portfolio Management Group of BlackRock Australia and Senior Investment Specialist at Zurich Investments. Prior to this, he has worked for BT Financial Group, Zurich Scudder Investments and Macquarie Bank.

James has presented to numerous audiences of advisers and investors and has appeared in various media including CNBC, Sky News and the ABC. His articles have appeared in various publications including the Journal of Investment Strategy.

James graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University in 1996. He previously lectured on “Managing an International Equity Portfolio” through Kaplan.
