We are launching a confidential survey of our members, volunteers, and employees.

The ASA is committed to continually strengthening our workplace culture to provide a safe, supportive and respectful environment for our community. This survey will help ensure that our policies and practices reflect the realities of how people engage with us.

This work entails reviewing current practices and policies and developing further measures to strengthen our Work Health and Safety framework. This includes psychosocial hazards, bullying, sexual harassment, reporting pathways and support arrangements.

To support this process, we are inviting members, volunteers and employees to complete a confidential survey and review the draft policies and related documents being developed.

The survey will help us better understand people’s experiences across the ASA, identify psychosocial and behavioural risks, and inform practical improvements to policies, training, reporting pathways and support. Because many people across the ASA interact directly with members and the public, it is important that our policies and support systems reflect the experiences and challenges that can arise in those interactions.

Some questions are more relevant to volunteers and employees because they relate to work, workload, support and safety. Members will be directed to complete only the sections relevant to them.

Responses will be handled confidentially, and results will generally be reviewed and reported in aggregate form. Feedback will help inform the work of the People and Culture Committee, along with practical improvements to strengthen culture, safety and support across the ASA.
