10.00am Keeping it simple with ETFs

Marc Jocum, Investments & Business Initiatives with ETF's

Investors sought out ETFs during the COVID-19 crash as they proved to be resilient and provide liquidity when investors needed it most. Despite the appeal of ETFs, unfortunately the financial industry and ETF ecosystem is filled with unnecessary complexity, and this can lead to suboptimal outcomes. This session will focus on the sophistication of simplicity, and how investors can adopt a straightforward approach to selecting the best ETFs and how to use them in portfolios to garner better results.

Marc is the Investment and Business Initiatives Manager at Stockspot, where he is responsible for investment strategy, portfolio analytics, ETF research and broader strategic growth initiatives. Prior to Stockspot, he worked for Morgan Stanley where he was responsible for ETF research across the Asia-pacific region as well as supporting asset allocation and model portfolio implementation. Marc has previously worked for AMP, working in the areas of investment research and platform development, as well as starting his career at KPMG. Marc holds a Bachelor of Business (Finance/Accounting) from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), and has completed his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1, and Diploma of Financial Planning
