Technical analysis

Technical analysis is the process of looking at the price and volume of a particular stock by looking at a share price chart.

An underlying assumption of technical analysis is that the market knows all the key fundamental information about a company and this is already factored into the share price.

Technical analysts use the information they see on a chart to determine if and when to buy a particular stock.
