Basil La Brooy
Basil La Brooy - Senior Officer, Financial Information Desk at National Seniors Australia

Basil has 24 years’ experience in the banking sector, specifically in lending and financial planning. For 18 years he worked with the former National Information Centre on Retirement Investments (NICRI) before joining the Financial Information Desk in 2015. Basil has a sound knowledge and understanding of superannuation, Government Income Support and the financial side of aged care. He is known to assist people to think 'outside the square'. Basil has been involved with the training of the Department of Human Services Financial Information Service (FIS) staff and has spoken at numerous seminars held by FIS. Basil has vast experience helping seniors better understand how the financial and social security systems interrelate.

Ian Irvine
Ian Irvine - Former Head of Customer & Business Development at ASX Limited 

Ian has over 40 years’ experience in sales, marketing and business development and has worked in the financial services arena since 1986, with stints at Westpac, AMP and up until the end of December 2017, for 14 years at ASX. His role at ASX included developing and delivering educational sessions for investors, self-managed super fund trustees and financial advisers; delivered using a variety of media, including seminars, webinars, videos and written articles published in financial newsletters and magazines. He now works as a consultant to the financial services sector; including to continue to educate investors on a range of investment ideas and topics.
